Tweet to Image Converter
Turn any tweet URL into a beautifully framed image.
What is a Tweet-to-Image Converter?
A tweet-to-image converter wraps a tweet in a polished, shareable image — the tweet card on a coloured or gradient background with generous padding, ready to share on Instagram, LinkedIn, in a blog post hero, or on a conference slide. It's the most common way to lift a tweet out of the X app and into another context without the ugly web-embed chrome.
Difference from our Tweet Generator. The Tweet Generator produces a raw tweet card (useful for screenshotting or embedding in apps that mimic Twitter). The Tweet-to-Image Converter wraps the same card in a gradient or solid backdrop — the "polished Instagram post" look. Pick this tool when the tweet is the star and you want it framed for sharing; pick Tweet Generator when you need the raw card alone.
Ethical note. Label mockups clearly. Real tweets from public accounts can be quoted or screenshotted in many jurisdictions under fair use, but fabricating tweets from real accounts and passing them off as real is misrepresentation and in many jurisdictions crosses into defamation. If you're reposting your own tweet with nicer framing, fine. If you're inventing words for someone else, don't.
Backdrop choice. Five preset gradients cover most aesthetic moods. Aurora (purple-cyan-pink) is the modern tech-y choice; Sunset (coral-yellow) reads warm and upbeat; Ocean (blue-cyan) feels calm and technical; Forest (greens) feels grounded and organic; Solid lets you match your brand colour exactly. Padding is adjustable — more padding = tweet feels more important; less padding = more compact image.
Card theme. Light mode reproduces X's standard light theme. Dark mode uses the dim-blue "Dim" theme that many X users prefer.
Retina export. The PNG exports at 3× pixel density. A 560×~300 card with 64px padding exports at ~2040×~900 pixels, sharp enough for slide decks and retina blog heroes.

Frequently asked questions
- What's the difference between this and your Tweet Generator?
- Tweet Generator produces a raw tweet card alone. Tweet-to-Image wraps that card in a gradient or solid backdrop with padding — the polished 'share to Instagram' look.
- Can I use a real tweet's text?
- Quoting a real public tweet is generally fine under fair use, but re-formatting it as an image can raise attribution concerns. Always credit the original author and link back when possible.
- Can I match my brand colour?
- Yes — pick 'Solid' as the backdrop and paste your brand hex.
- What size is the exported image?
- 3× of the on-screen card (~560px wide + padding), so the PNG lands around 2000px wide. Sharp for Instagram posts, slides, and hero images.
