Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 21, 2026

Summary

simpletool.io is designed so that almost nothing ever leaves your browser. When you paste, upload, or generate content through a tool, the processing happens locally on your device. This section explains exactly what data we do and do not collect, and how third-party services we use behave.

Tools process data in your browser

Every tool on simpletool.io is implemented as JavaScript that runs in your browser. Images, text, PDFs, and other inputs are never uploaded to our servers. We do not store or log the content you put into a tool. This applies to every tool in the catalogue unless a tool explicitly states otherwise in its own page description.

Analytics

We use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns (which tools are popular, how visitors reach us). Specifically we use Plausible Analytics, which does not use cookies and does not collect any personal data. We also run the AdSignal pixel (pixel.flb7.com), a lightweight tracker for ad-performance reporting that does not set cross-site cookies. Neither tool records form inputs, tool inputs, or anything you type.

Advertising

We plan to run Google AdSense once the site qualifies. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this and other websites. Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings. We enforce a maximum of two ad slots per tool page, and no ad slot above the tool itself.

Contact form

The contact form is powered by a third-party relay service (FormSubmit). When you submit the form, your email and message are transmitted to FormSubmit and forwarded to the simpletool.io inbox. Submissions are retained by FormSubmit according to their own privacy policy. We use the information only to reply to your message.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to a tool notification or our tools newsletter, your email address is stored in Brevo, our email service provider. We do not sell, share, or rent email addresses. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

Local storage

Some tools save preferences (for example, favourites or recently-used tools) in your browser's local storage. This data never leaves your device and is cleared when you clear your browser data.

Cookies

simpletool.io does not set any first-party tracking cookies. Third-party services we embed (Google AdSense, when enabled) may set cookies in accordance with their own policies. A small number of essential cookies may be set by our hosting provider.

Your rights

Because we store very little, there is very little to request. If you have submitted a contact form or signed up for the newsletter, you can request deletion of that record by emailing us via the contact page. Residents of the EU/UK (GDPR) and California (CCPA/CPRA) have additional statutory rights we will honour.

Children

simpletool.io is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when we add new services. Material changes will be announced on the home page. The "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent revision.
