The pixelation problem \u2014 when blurring isn’t enough<\/h2>\n

Light pixelation can be reversed. Researchers at Cornell in 2016 demonstrated that “mosaic” pixelation with a small block size can be reverse-engineered using machine learning to identify the original face \u2014 particularly if you have other photos of the same person to train on.
